UNRELEASED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND ONLY GIVEN TO LICENSEES BACK IN THE 1980’s DC Comics Style Guide from 1982 and some pages from 1985, Only a small handful were ever produced exclusively in house at the DC Comics Offices to give to their artist and to licensees. We have a guide that comes with the actual Cover Letter from DC Comics too! Note: the guide may only have the black and white or color pages left, Message to ask. The digital file is of all the original art in high res of it, not a bootleg, and has all the art from each guide, there are many different versions of the guide from 1982 to 1989. Putting the art together from ALL the guides ends up being over 200+ different drawings (including black and white and color versions of the art mostly all drawn by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez). For Sale: Original Art page from the classic DC Style Guide from 1984. Pencils:Jose Luis Garcia Lopez. If you are looking for an iconic image of superman, this is as good as it gets. This is the original art from the DC Style Guide that was published in 1984. Art from this guide was used on so many things. It’s all hand drawn with the exception of the small Superman sheild in the bottom image which is a stat. The color page from the style guide is not included, I have it there just for reference. The free listing tool. I had a couple of questions come in 1 was about where these were used outside the Style Guide, so I attached an image of a T-Shirt where the bottom image was used. There are small touch ups of whiteout. Mostly around his jawline in both images. It looks like giordano just kind of made the jaw a bit more square. No stamps on the back. It just says Lopez/Giordano in pencil. I don’t know who he got it from. Added a few more items that this art was used on. (please note, these are all just for reference as to the types of items these images were used on and none are included, just the original art).
