DC Comic s (1942). Here is a fun 68-page Golden Age comic with a great heft to it and a nice feel to the pages. The cover is drawn by Fred Ray, the craftsman responsible for some of the most beautiful and memorable Golden Age Superman covers. The FINE interior pages are perfectly supple and are off-white-to-very-light-cream-colored. The covers are very smooth with a satiny finish but they show some edge chipping (although there is no chipping at all along the edges of the beautiful interior pages). The inside covers show slight darkening. The spine of the cover wrap is split above the top staple and below the bottom staple comic (but the spine of the beautiful interior pages shows no splitting of any kind); the cover wrap is detached from the interiors at the upper staple but holding on at the lower staple. There is a faint whisper of a spine roll that realistically could not be called a spine roll, and there is a thin strip of darkening along the spine on the front cover as if there were a piece of tape there but there is no tape and there never was. Overall this comic is in GOOD/VERY GOOD condition. Please look closely at the scans and write if you have any question. There’s NEVER a hidden reserve price in the hayfamzone!
