Action Comics 24 DC Superman 1940 Siegel Joe Shuster Cover Looks High Grade! For sale in this listing is Action Comics 24. Published by DC in 1940. This would have been a high grade copy except that it has a married back cover. The interior is complete but it is married to the back cover from a book I can’t identify. (It looks somewhat similar to the back cover to Detective Comics 27 but I can’t figure out what book it’s from) The front cover is in nice shape and so is the interior. The covers are held together with archival tape and japan paper, and there is color touch along the spine. Very bright, glossy copy with nice eye appeal. This issue features the 1st appearance of Superman’s biggest villain Lex Luthor!! This issue has (in my opinion) been undervalued for a long time and it seems like the market is finally starting to come around to this way of thinking because copies have been increasing in all grades over the last year or so. This comic is missing several interior pages and has a wrong back cover. This copy has 56 total pages (missing 3 wraps total, including the centerfold and 2 pages from the Superman story) The covers are attached with tape and there is color touch and pieces added on the front cover along the spine. But it is still an Action Comics 23! Still a highly desirable book in any grade! Don’t look back in a few years and regret not getting a copy while prices were still “affordable”!
