Custom made 1:4 scale Superman statue maquette with real fabric costume and cape. This was created in 2004 by Superman expert Christopher King and only 18 were ever made. It’s 20 inches tall. Every owner had it painted and assembled on their own and in collector circles it quickly became the most desirable Reeve Superman collectible ever made. Although Hot Toys, Sideshow and Cinemaquette have all made Reeve Superman figures after this one- this is still the best. The accuracy of the costume (including the color), the portrait sculpt and all aspects of the piece are perfect. The emblem is glued on the chest and there is a tiny bit of darkening of the material on the edge. There are no rubs or chips on the paint, but painters have become much, much better in the almost 20 years since this piece was created. So you may want to get it re-painted, and I can recommend a bunch of people for that. There is no box for this as it came unassembled and unpainted at the time.
