Hello and thanks for checking out my comic book listings. This listing is for. SUPERMAN #23, July-August 1943. This book is graded between 5.0, Very Good To Fine and 5.5, Fine. The page quality is Off-White, about an Owl 8. This is a solid flat book with bright colors, decent gloss and no spine splits. Everything is attached and the book has nice supple pages. The front cover has a book length reading crease near the spine that might barely break the color here and there. In addition to that the covers have light wear and creasing with a few small edge tears, including a tear about 3/8 of an inch long at the bottom edge of the back cover near the spine. The back cover also has some light dust shadowing. Lastly the spine has a light curl or roll. Classic WWII Golden Age from DC featuring a fantastic Nazi cover by Jack Burnley! Interior story art by Sam Citron, John Sikela and George Roussos. Three of the four Superman stories written by Jerry Siegel. If you are not happy with a book, simply return it. This is an ENORMOUS set of Superman comics! Nearly 1200 Superman comics! It is the complete run of all major Superman titles from Crisis on Infinite Earths (COIE) all the way up to the New 52. It also includes quite a few miniseries and one shots. All of them are listed below. I’m a big comic book collector, and have enjoyed collecting complete runs across the years from COIE to the present. But I’ve read all the Superman books, and I’m now ready to share them with another collector. As far as condition, they are in general in very good shape. The older comics from the 80’s are mostly in the Good-VG-Fine range. The ones in the 2000s are mostly in the Fine-VF-NM range. Please see the pictures to get a good indicator of their conditions. If you’re a collector/reader happy with comics in good shape, then I think you’ll be pleased with this set. All books will come bagged and boarded (2 books per bag and board). One detail I want to make sure you know – I have the books sorted in the comic boxes, but I want to make sure you know ahead of time the way that I have them sorted. In short, I have the main series sorted mostly chronologically, and when there were triangle numbers aligning the stories from several series together, I sorted them by their triangle numbers. In other words, there are times when a huge run of Action Comics is in its own section, and then there are times where issues of Action, Superman, Man of Steel, and Adventures of Superman are all put together to keep them in their triangle number order. I have a list showing exactly how they are arranged in the boxes, and I’m happy to send that to you if you’d like.
