World’s Finest Comics #6 (Summer 1942, DC). The Metal Man vs Superman. Also Aquaman, The Star-Spangled Kid, Zatara! I would say this comic would make good but that is all. The front cover is detached from the contents and has a lot of creases in the heavy paper cover, let me just say the creases are almost everywhere, there is a 1/4 tear at the edge of crease near the middle of the right edge, the spine is split up at the bottom and the torn edge is pulled to the back it is still attached fairly well, could be repaired? , heavy wear up the rest of the spine, a very light pencil notation on the top white strip of the flag. The back cover is wrinkled and creased also, but the front and back covers are still attached well to each other. The contents are light tan, complete and have curled corners and creases at the bottom, no missing pieces. This comic has been read many times, must have been a favorite. We take multiple photos and concentrate on damaged spots. We are glad to send additional photos. We will wait up to a week to combine more for you if requested. Please pay within three days. These comics were all owned by one boy who collected them in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He lived in the same home all his life and kept the comics in stacks in a storage room. Some have sun shadows from being exposed to light across one edge, some do not. We are trying our best to describe each one fully in the listing. Comics are mailed in a plastic sleeve with a backer board; placed inside a hard, cardboard calumet. We will not mark international orders as gifts or put a reduced value on them. WORLD’S FINEST Comics #9. This cool vintage Golden Age comic was published by DC back in 1943. Nice early issue of this long-running title, featuring classic WWII cover showing Superman, Batman & Robin throwing baseballs at Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo. Solid complete book grades about Good with moderate general wear, very supple cream pages. Looks like a pet’s paw scratched a few tiny tears/holes in cover and first several pages. Light creasing, there is tape on inside of cover. Several pages have small tears, a few with small holes/pieces off, not too bad. Still a nice example of this uncommon issue. This is page 13 of World Finest #262s (April/May 1980) lead and cover story: The Power of the Pi-Meson Man! It’s inked by the great Dick Giordano. Over Dick Tracy artist and Harvey Award winner Joe Staton’s pencils. In this page Batman rescues Betsy Pyatt, a blind girl with second sight while Superman finds something odd about Pincus Bridger, the title character whose invisible pi-meson form tries to kill Batman and the girl.
