Superman #158, published by DC Comics in January 1963, features the iconic story “Superman in Kandor”. In this tale, Superman and Jimmy Olsen shrink themselves to enter the bottle city of Kandor, where they adopt the secret identities of Nightwing and Flamebird. They work to clear Superman’s name after being falsely accused by Kandorians of withholding the technology to enlarge their city. The story introduces the Nightwing and Flamebird personas, which later inspire characters in the DC Universe. The cover art was created by Curt Swan, with interior artwork by George Klein and writing by Edmond Hamilton. This issue is a significant piece of Superman lore, blending science fiction with superhero drama.

This is a copy of Superman 146 in very good to fine (5.0) condition, published by DC in July 1961 and featuring a retelling of Superman’s life story and a hint at Earth two! It also features a very classic comic of Superman as a child in a rocket. This copy has light creases on the covers and at the corners. Someone wrote 156 next to the end in Superman and there are some additional Nicks and stress lines at the spine and edges but it’s a very nice looking copy of this Silver age DC superhero book. You’ll love it!
