Superman #57 (Mar-Apr 1949, DC) The Son of Superman The Machine Men
Superman #57 (Mar-Apr 1949, DC) Triple Feature. “The Son of Superman”. “The Menace of the Machine Men”. “Every Man a Superman”. The spine shows very little wear, a scuff at the bottom and no split up from the bottom, there is a single staple that is attached as the split goes slightly to the side of it. Aside from a small chip at the top right corner, no other missing pieces or tears in the front cover, a pencil notation at the top edge, the inside of the front cover is oxidized, so brittleness is present as witnessed by the spine split. The back cover is also oxidized at the edges, a tiny 1/8 chip at the top left, no other tears, creases or missing pieces. The contents are light tan, complete and have no damage. Repair the split and you have a nice comic. We take multiple photos and concentrate on damaged spots. We are glad to send additional photos. We will wait up to a week to combine more for you if requested. Please pay within three days. All comics start at 99 cents with no reserve. Follow me on E bay for golden age comics. And check the other golden age comics I have on now. These comics were all owned by one boy who collected them in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He lived in the same home all his life and kept the comics in stacks in a storage room. Some have sun shadows from being exposed to light across one edge, some do not. We are trying our best to describe each one fully in the listing. Comics are mailed in a plastic sleeve with a backer board; placed inside a hard, cardboard calumet.
