ACTION COMICS #1 CGC 9.6 1976 Sleeping Bag Reprint

High-grade copy of the first comic-sized reprint of. This came after the 1974. Treasury-size version and before the 1976 Safeguard reprint, making it one of the earliest faithful reproductions of Superman’s debut. These were often handled, folded, or stored poorly, so a CGC 9.6 stands out and is not easy to replace. The slab is clean, colors are bright, and it presents extremely well. This edition has gained steady interest as collectors look for affordable Golden Age substitutes and early reprints become part of the conversation. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

ACTION COMICS #1 Sleeping Bag Reprint CGC 9.6 White Pgs 1st Superman Rare! 1976

This is CGC 9.6 graded Action Comics #1’Sleeping Bag Reprint’ with White Pages from 1976, reprinting the most famous comic back of all time, that introduced the world to Superman for the first time, with an unforgettable cover by Joe Shuster. This is among the rarer Action Comics #1 reprints and is particularly tough to find with white pages. All CGC slabs may contain minor scuffing, fingerprints, and newton rings, none of which compromises the comic itself. RARE Action Comics #1 1976 Sleeping Bag Reprint CGC 8.0 Superman 1st Appearance

This is a 1976 reprint of Action Comics #1 with the sleeping bag advertisement on the back cover featuring the first appearance of Superman. The book and case are in excellent condition with a CGC grade of 8.0 and with white pages, it has great eye appeal and presents much nicer as the spine split is almost undetectable (see last picture). These paper covers are hard to grade in this 16-page reprint. This book looks to have been released just prior to the Safeguard edition. There is not a lot of information about these, but the Sleeping Bag edition looks to be more “rare” than the Safeguard edition, and the census seems to confirm this as well. Action Comics #1 (cover dated June 1938) is the first issue of the original run of the comic book series Action Comics. It features the first appearance of several comic-book heroes-most notably the Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster creation, Superman. It is widely considered to be both the beginning of the superhero genre and the most valuable comic book. Please see all the photos for the actual condition of this comic.
