CGC 7.5 (FN/VF-) – issue one about the epic movie from 1976 – signed by the story writer – Gerry Conway – This comic is a collaboration from Conway, George Perez, Klaus Janson & Al Milgrom to create this classic. Published his first professional comic book work at 16. With the 6½-page horror story in DC Comics’ House of Secrets #81 Sept. He went to Marvel Comics at the request of Roy Thomas who was Stan Lee’s right hand man at the time. Started with Kazar on Astonishing Tales #73 (1970). At 19, Conway began writing The Amazing Spider-Man , succeeding Stan Lee as the ASM story writer (of one of Marvel’s flagship titles). His run, from issues #111149 (August 1972 October 1975), included the landmark. Death of Gwen Stacy. Story in #121 (June 1973) plus introduced the Punisher (ASM 129) with Ross Andru. He co-created Man Thing with Stan Lee and Roy Thomas, Werewolf By Night and Tomb of Dracula. There are too many titles he has worked on, just look him up and be amazed at his outstanding creative mind. Started in 1976 as an American science fiction film starring Michael York, Jenny Agutter, Farrah Fawcet and Peter Ustinov among others. It is based on the 1967 novel Logan’s Run, it depicts a utopian future society on the surface, revealed as a dystopia where the population and the consumption of resources are maintained in equilibrium by killing everyone who reaches the age of 30. At birth, everyone has a chip implanted with a life jewel in their palm and when they 30, their time is up for termination. The story follows the actions of Logan 5, a “Sandman” , a corporate killer that is charged with termination of those who do not want to go willingly, but now, he is faced with termination himself. The film uses only the novel’s two basic premises: that everyone must die at a set age, and that Logan and companion Jessica attempt to escape while being chased by another Sandman named Francis. The film won a Special Academy Award for its visual effects. A TV series followed and aired in 1977 for 14 episodes. Items sent is/are the one(s) on the photograph(s).
